Since day one, we’ve been dedicated to upholding the highest standards for data security and privacy. And today we’re proud to share one more way we’ve put that into action.

SOC 2 is considered the gold standard in cybersecurity and data protection. It is a framework developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) as a way to ensure that the data security measures enacted by organizations align with specific standards and requirements needed by cloud computing and online infrastructure.

For the past six months we’ve been working with an external auditor to test our data security and assess our SOC 2 compliance. Our auditor has been assessing our security protocols and organizational structure, with a focus on security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

While we could have gone for SOC 2 Type 1— which involves proving your security protocols are up to standard at a single point in time — we went straight for SOC 2 Type 2, which means we’ve maintained those same standards over a long period of time.

And we just got the word: we’ve passed, and are officially SOC 2 compliant. And we’ll be undergoing regular audits to make sure we stay that way.

This audit process took time, and a lot of work, but it was important to us to show (and know for ourselves) that we’re truly doing everything we can to achieve and maintain the highest standard of security for everyone who uses Streamlined.
